DAYS’s
Tamara Braun (Ava) has collaborated with artist Ben Levy to create a
one-of-a-kind piece of artwork, which was unveiled during Art Basel in
Miami, and whose sale proceeds will go to the Tanzanian Children’s Fund.
“I am in love with TCF and The Rift Valley Children’s Village,” explains
the actress, who recently spent time volunteering in Africa. "I feel so
blessed to be a part of experiencing first-hand what an incredible
organization and family it is. ‘Family is Forever’ is their motto and
they have created a beautiful, loving environment where the children
here are thriving.” Adds the artist, “I was introduced to The Tanzanian
Children’s Fund by Tamara, who was heading out to volunteer at the
organization. Once she was there and experiencing first-hand the amazing
work they were doing, we decided to collaborate on a piece of art. She
took an image of one of the children, a cheeky lad called Ema, and sent
it over to me. I knew I wanted to create something personal to them so I
created 'Tender, Caring, Fun' based on the TCF initials of the
organization and using the national flag colours of Tanzania. TCF is a
home for orphaned children giving them a stable home for life while
providing food, clothing, shelter, education and much more. It’s an
amazing organization and I felt compelled to help in the way I know
best, by creating a work of art and using my voice to spread the word.”
